TIP 128-GO-1

Pressure regulator type: 128 GO

PURPOSE

Pressure regulator type: 128 is a direct-oprated regulator that provides a constant output pressure value (p2) regardless of changes in input pressure (p1) and flow.

A safety valve is integrated into the gas spring chamber of this regulator, which opens the seat when the pressure (pGO) rises above the allowed set value, thus releasing a certain amount of gas into the atmosphere.

The design solutions used in its construction result from specific operating conditions, i.e. high inlet pressure of 250 bar and gas temperature of 80°C.

OPERATION DESCRIPTION

Steel pipes and connections lead the pressurized gas to the regulator seat (5) after it exits the heater. In the case of reduced consumption, the outlet pressure increases, so the mushroom (6) with the Teflon seal rests on the regulator seat (5), which prevents gas flow. Through an impulse connection (10), the output pressure is sent into the space under the regulator membrane (8). The gas spring or the gas pressure above the membrane pushes the mandrel (7) and the closure elements together when the output pressure drops below the set value. This lets gas flow through the regulator. When the output pressure goes above the set value, the force under the membrane (8) goes up, which is stronger than the gas spring’s force. This lets the regulator close by pressing the seal onto the seat (5). The pressure drop in the output line leads to the regulator reopening and performing its basic function-maintaining the output pressure p2 constant. The mandrel adjusts the force of the gas spring to fill the chamber (4).
